Jerry Brown
The continuous hollow braid design of Line One Hollow Spectra allows use of the "finger trap" method for monofilament topshot connection. The specific method of splicing hollow lines together is to insert monofilament line of the proper diameter directly into hollow Spectra for a sufficient length to cause one line to "bite" when pulled against the other, forming the "finger trap". The gripping properties of hollow Spectra can be used to splice end loops that pass through rod guides almost undetected. The low diameter properties of hollow Spectra allows construction of topshots and wind-on leaders, using the Spectra to form ultra-low profile end loops, far stronger than commercially available leaders made with bulkier Dacron loops. These topshots and wind-on leaders can then be connected to the main line on a fishing reel via a loop-to-loop connection, giving the angler a 100% strength and knotless connection.
Line One Hollow Spectra® also allows for almost invisible splicing.

providing innovative solutions to rod manufacturers worldwide since 1968.
REC introduced a revolutionary new material for fishing rod guides. RECOIL guides are made from a special nickel titanium alloy with unique physical properties which provide exciting new possibilities for fishing rod designers worldwide. Until now, fishing rod guides have been plated or have used ceramic inserts to provide wear resistance. RECOIL guides are made from an extremely hard but flexible "Shape Memory" alloy, which does not require plating, cannot corrode in any environment, and returns or "RECOILs" to its original shape after repeated deformations.
REC Perfection reel seats and gimbals are produced from high strength, hardened, aircraft grade alloys anodized to exacting military and industrial standards. 

All American Roller Guides
Proudly designs and manufactures superior quality roller guides and roller tips.
Frames are manufactured stainless steel for extra strength and corrosion resistance.
Rolled frame openings offer a large knot clearance and prevent the line from traveling between the frame and the roller as well as protecting the line from frame edges. In addition to the excellent quality you have become accustomed to, with the stainless steel frames and stainless steel components, the newest design gives you an even larger straight through knot clearance from the tip to the reel.
Roller Tops are a one piece cast, made of stainless steel, and machined to four different sizes #10, #12, #14, and #16. All the components are the same as used on the roller guides. This means that if you need a bearing, roller, pin, or screw, one fits all. Tips are offered in all the same colors as the guide sets.
Bearings are coated with a fluorocarbon coating. The lubricant permanently bonds protecting the bearing from corrosion and reduces wear and friction. This lubricant is one of the highest technological coatings available.
Rollers are made of the finest stainless steel, machined to a 40 micro finish with a deep V to accept all Dacron and wire lines. All rollers are polished in walnut shell for six hours to enhance the performance and the finish.
Black Frames are a black chrome process with a special activator and black chrome applied directly to the stainless steel eliminating the traditional multi layer peeling. The frames are then polished in walnut shell to add even more luster to the black chrome. The AA black roller tip has a two-layer process with nickel and black chrome.
Gold Frames are processed with Ionfusion™ technology. This process fuses Zirconium Nitride to the stainless steel resulting in the surface hardness surpassing 80 Rockwell C. This process ensures long life and maximum corrosion resistance. Applied to the stainless steel, long lasting consistent color is produced on each run. This process is also used on gun barrels, knife blades, mills, drills, and machine tools.
