GCCR at 2006 AFTA Tackle Trade Show

GCCR will be again at the AFTA tackle trade show being held at the Gold Coast convention centre 12-14th Aug. 2006

We will be displaying the full range of Hastings blanks that include some very new and exiting models from light bream, heavy baitcaster and a new range of Bluewater spin and jigging blanks.

Also we will be introducing and displaying many new products that we are now distributing though out Australia.

These include the Japanese made SEED jigging blanks, All American roller guides, Flexcoat products, JR Jones "Loc-Down" reel seats and Blue Heaven Reels from Japan. All these products can soon be found on our website with full product details.

These are only a few of the new models:

  • Pioneer Challenger series.
    A new Composite Non Helix design combining "E"glass & graphite materials producing a more competitively prices blank while maintaining the strength, power & lightness that has made the Hastings blanks famous around the world.

  • United Series Dual Helix (DHX)
    UR XO & XOS, 15kg & 24kg in both 5'6" & 6'0".
    UR56XH, XXH-L, XXH-H, now available in 6'0"

  • Pioneer (Single Helix)
    4 new bream blanks. 70XL, 700-L & the new series2 modified and upgraded , 70UL & 610.

    GCCR at AFTA Tackle Trade Show

    GCCR will be displaying the full range of Hastings blanks at the AFTA Tackle Trade show being held at the Gold Coast Convention centre 13th - 15th August.

    We will have many new models on display from the new Hastings series of United "Challenger" and Graphite-USA "Advantage" blanks.

    United "Challenger" series

    A new range of blanks specifically designed and exclusive to Australia !

    "Dual Helix" ply construction combining "E"glass and multi modulus graphite scrim make this range of blanks very unique producing a very light blank in weight with a tremendous powerful action.

    Being purely a Bluewater series, there are 4 specific styles in this range

    URC 40 range, being specifically designed as a UNI BUTT blank for stand-up game fishing. The concept of this model is that the blank fits directly into a size 2 Uni Butt requiring no trimming, cutting or build up to fit the collet.
    URC 55 range, is a 5'6" blank has been designed as a straight thru stand-up model. This range is available in all popular line classes from 8kg thru to 24kg .
    URC 60 range has been designed as a general purpose 6'0" Bluewater blank. This blank features a fast action tapper and can be used in a variety of application from trolling, jigging and general bottom bouncing. It is truly an all-rounder for offshore work, being available in line classes 6-8kg, 8-10kg,10-15kg, 15kg, 15-25kg and soon to be available in 24kg.
    URS 60 SC range, is only available in 2 line classes, this being 15-24kg and 24-37kg. Whilst being built on the same mandrels as the URC 60 range, these blanks offer a much slower and moderate tapper, specially designed for deep water jigging with braided line.

    Graphite-USA "Advantage" series

    Will be seen for the first time at the AFTA tackle show. This new range of blanks have not been officially released yet and we will only have samples of the new blanks at this stage.

    This new range is not expected to be officially releases till September with stocks not being available till late October this year.

    This new range of blanks has been specifically designed for Bream and Bass in Australia and will be available in only 7'0" and 3 line classes, 2-6lb, 4-8lb and 6-10lb.

    "ADVANTAGE" is constructed from a special high modulus graphite with superior bonding agents, incorporating Hastings unique "Dual Helix" ply construction.

    New United Series Rod UR56XXH 10kgs Barramundi Blank will be introduced to Australia by Mid November 2004

    The UR56XXH in the United Series by Hastings Rod Manufacturing is manufactured with the Dual Helix Construction and has been designed as a baitcasting Blank.

    Specifically aimed at the large impoundment Barramundi!

    Rated to 10kg, this blank offers a very fast action.

    Delivering a softer tip than the other Blanks in this class which provides the ability to cast lighter lures as well as troll large hardbody lures

    The UR56XXH is expected to be in stock by mid November 2004.

    Brand new Pioneer Series Blank P-UR70UL designed for the Ultra Light Class to hit Australian shores in November 2004

    The P-UR70UL under the Hastings Rod Manufacturing's Pioneer Series has been specifically designed for the ultra light class, 1-2kg.

    Aimed at the softplastic lures for chasing Bream and Bass, this blank offers a very parabolic action which is ideal for this style of fishing.

    We expect the P-UR70UL to be in stock by mid November 04
